Reflux baby, alternative to omeprazole

Does anyone use anything other than infant gaviscon or omeprazole for their reflux baby? DS has been on one of the other since he was born. When gaviscon started to make him constipated we switched to omeprazole but that made no difference whatsoever. I took him off everything as he seemed to get better around the time I started weaning him but now at 8 months he's getting worse again. Maybe it's that he's eating more, maybe it's because he's started to move around so his tummy is getting jiggled, who knows but he needs to go back on something. I'm giving him a gaviscon before bed but don't want to put him on a full dose. He's a little intolerant to eggs which neither of us eat but other allergies have been ruled out.

I was told by a paediatrician from a different country (not officially, DP was working with him and asked for some advice) and in his country (Scandinavia somewhere, I can't quite remember), they give Nexium. But my doctor won't give it to without knowing more, so she's off investigating that.

So I thought I'd see if anyone else had anything different prescribe?

I noticed my DDs reflux got a lot worse around 7/8 months, not sure why but after doing some research I think when they are teething this can make reflux worse. If his reflux is still bad at this age, do you think he could have CMPA even if it’s been ruled out?

Can’t offer advice on alternative medication unfortunately as my doctor would only ever give me gaviscon 🤔

My ds is 7 months and has been on gaviscon and omeprozole since 2 months. Since weaning his reflux got a lot worse. We stopped all food except cereal for a few days for it to get better and are slowly introducing new foods. When I read up about what foods can make it worse I was quite surprised about how many can do. He loved bananas but I found out they can be bad so they are off the menu for a while.
Have you been avoiding triggering foods at all?
My doctor has said there isn't any other medications to give. With my older ds he had ranitidine but my doc says it isn't recommended anymore. Not heard of the nexium for babies I'm afraid

Nexium is basically the same as omeprazole afaik

Ask for lansoprazole, it's much stronger than omeprazole.
