Cutting out bottles!!! HELP

My DS is 6 and a half months old. He has 4 bottles a day and 3 solid meals, i have just started cutting out his afternoon bottle, so he is now having around 13-15oz a day, is this enough, should i be cutting out bottles this early.

Also should he still be on normal SMA milk or should i now change to follow on milk?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I thought it was 20oz until they were a year old, then it drops to 14-16 after that. Sounds like you are dropping them too early.

My ds was still on 5 bottle at that age which included one in the night. He didnt go to 4 bottles till 8 months and was on 3 bottles at 10 months. Has your lo shown any signs that he is losing interest in the bottle? If not, then I would keep it. They still need 20oz per day till 1 year. Re: follow on, it is your choice really. The first milk is fine up to 1 year but follow on can be slightly cheaper.
