I have to have an IVU Xray in the not too distant future which involves injecting a contrast dye into my blood.

I have been told that I cannot bf for 24 hours after this as my baby's kidneys will not be able to cope well with the dye. My question is, could this mess up my supply?

My baby is 5 months old, so my supply is well established at this point I would think. I am still leery of stopping as I am never able to express as much as she takes in.

You are right, your supply will be well established by this time. I would pump (and dump) for the 24 hours, partly to ensure your supply is maintained but really to make sure you don't get too engorged and uncomfortable.
