Moving newborn from one side to the other

I have a 3 week old baby breastfeeding is going well, but I still haven't got the hang of maneuvering her from one side to the other during a feed! Her neck feels so fragile and I'm scared of hurting her. I feed her in a cradle hold and to turn her I put my non-feeding hand under her neck, bring her around out in front of me, and sort of slide her up my arm until she's into position on the other side. Is there a better way?

When mine came off one side I would sit them up in case they needed to burp and then reposition on the other side.

I loved holding my babies with my hand under their neck/head, and one under bum/ back, iyswim- if you’re worried about neck support. But her neck will be far less fragile than you think anyway. Have you tried laid back feeding? So comfortable, and then you will see how well she can already support her little head! Also no need to move her then, just guide her to the other boob.

If you use a nursing pillow or even a regular pillow I find a really easy way to switch sides is to start on the first boob in football/side hold position and then when done slide the pillow and baby over to the other boob into cradle position !! I did this all the time in the newborn stage
