Ff dd2 feeds about every 3 hours but doesn't take anymore than 4oz is that normal? I bf dd1 so can't really compare. Didn't know if she's not going as long because she gets thirsty before hungry hence sometimes only taking 2 and half oz. She prob weighs just under 11lb need to get her weighed again so not exact. She was taking about 5 oz every 3 hours so changed milk to hungry one. Maybe change back?

I think she will take what she want mummy and you are obviously not letting her go hungry ...... my dd refused milk at 13 weeks completely so had to have a million baby yogurts..... she is fine so don't worry.

i would go back to regular formula. hungry baby formula is a gimmick. the main protein in it is casien which is harder to digest than whey which makes up so called 1st stage formula. why give a tiny baby something that is harder to digest when their digestive tract is not ready for it puzzles me.

however, i haven't ff, just letting you kno what i know about hungry baby formula.

DD2 is 8 weeks today (about 12lbs) and it's only been in the last few days that she is taking 5oz every 4 to 4 1/2hours. We did go a couple of weeks where she was taking 2 - 3oz every 3hours.

I did change her from SMA gold to Cow & Gate Comfort stage 1 as the SMA wasn't agreeing with her.

I had to switch to Hungry baby food when my dd who was mixed fed first 6 weeks (had probs getting bf established) I stopped BF at 6 weeks went just formula. At 10 weeks she was feeding every 1.5 hrs and when we switched to HB (as advised by HV as she wouldn't take anymore milk in a feed) she went to 3hrs again... she has been on HB since....now 21weeks. When DD started draining the bottle the first two times I then increased the amount offered, during growth spurts/teething she has more but I don't stress about the amount when she was 8 weeks I am sure it was about 4 or 5 oz and maybe not the full amount each feed. I ignored the guidelines about how much she should be drinking on the side of the box and her weight gain has remained on the 75th cent since birth.
