Mid morning milk

DS is 8.5 months and has recently started to drop his mid morning feed which is fine (I think?) but some mornings, like this morning, he barely eats any breakfast.

So this morning he had milk just after 7, then I offered breakfast about 8.15 but all he ate was the flesh from half a plum. He still doesn't seem to be hungry and doesn't want a milk feed. My question is...we usually have lunch around half 12. Do I do lunch as normal or do less and keep offering milk?

If it was a one off I'd be fine with it but he can be quite hit or miss with breakfast. And we're night weaning at the minute so I need to try and get enough milk into him during the day to keep him happy over night.

TIA! Smile

My DD (9 months) dropped her mid morning feed a couple of weeks ago (was giving at 7, 11, 3 & 7) so I bought the 3pm feed forward to 1:30/2 before her nap. So now she has milk at 7, 1:30/2 and 7 and solids at 8, 11:45 and 5.

If he doesn’t eat much at breakfast and doesn’t want milk, I’d try to bring lunch forward and see how he does.
