Do I increase volume of feed?

Hi all,

I need some advice, I'm a ftm and my LO is 14 weeks. I express breast milk as I wasn't able to breastfeed. He currently has 6oz per feed and feeds every 2.5hrs -3hrs. (I stopped feeding 3 hourly when he regained his weight and feed on demand). Now the issue I'm having is my LO now cries after finishing the bottle for more then stops when I get my LO to burp. Should I increase the amount per feed to 7oz or 8oz?

I haven't seen my HV since 6 week check and when taken to the GP for vaccination the GP doesn't seem concerned as he's feeding well I'm due back in 2 weeks. LO currently weighs 18lbs (weighed at home).

I’d give it a go and see what happens

If he stops crying after burping then it might just be trapped wind. Ideally you want a little bit of milk left in the bottle so you know he's full, burp half way through the bottle and used the paced feeding method.
How much milk is he drinking in 24 hours?

I do burp half way through, I try to pace feed, sit up right but normally drains the bottle till it's empty. LO is drinking anything between 36-42oz per 24 hours the only time less intake is when LO had their vaccinations.

If he’s drinking the whole bottle I’d add another ounce or two and see what happens.
