Can I still use this formula?

Made up a bottle at 12:30 using boiling water.
It has been in an insulated bag and is now just warm to the touch. Baby didn't wake as soon as I had expected.
Can I still use it or does the 2 hr rule apply?

I wouldn’t as it’s been made over 2 hours by quite a bit; insulated bag keeps it warm but doesn’t prevent bacteria etc.

Thank you. That's what I thought but dh thought that I was mad and that it had just got to drinking temp that it was fine. He seemed to think that it was 2 hours from cold. It made me question myself.
Down the sink it goes.

No because you kept it warm. For future reference if you cool it straight away in the fridge it's actually fine for up to 24 hours (even though this is now frowned on it's still true) it's the warmth that's the problem

Thanks again. We were planning on using it while out but baby has been very obliging and has slept the whole time. He is still out of it and I have just gone to feel his chest to make sure that he is ok because it is so unlike him.
