probably, as i was given cocodamol post-natally & that's codeine & paracetamol. also, i would worry less as you're not feeding a teeny newborn.

Thanks hc. She still feeds as much as a newborn though...argh! Maybe I could lie to her so she'll stop

you are a star to still be doing it. i fed dd 'til she was 18 months & felt i deserved a medal! she is still obsessed with my breasts though .

but she's bigger & heavier than a newborn isn't she. so even if the codeine gets into the milk it will affect her relatively less.

insert?

Might make her sleep later [hopeful emoticon]

My experience has been that if I take a Nurofen Plus then DS gets constipated, so watch out for that.

Oh I see. Not bought it yet, would be the counter atm.

Will watch out for constipation but due to it being for very very bad back pain I, unfortunately, prob won't be able to deal with it

My GP & HV have said I'm OK to take 30/500 Co-codamol while BF along with 400 Ibuprofen (all of which is to manage deep breast thrush pain).

I suffer with the traditional constipation if I don't eat loads of fruit and veg but DD has always been fine.

Agree that it's best to check the info sheet in the pack of tablets though as each type is different.
