Breasts not feeling full

My LO is 12 days old and after my engorgement on day 4/5 my breasts have never really got hard or full again. My LO is feeding every 3hrs for between 12-25mins over the both breasts. She has wet and dirty nappies but I am wondering if my supply isn't quite what it should be. She lost 7% of her weight by day 3 and by day 10 she was still 3% under. She's due to be weighed again tomorrow.

It's usually a good thing that they don't feel full. It means they are feeding regularly

It may be you are just one of those people who don't feel much when breastfeeding. I've never felt any sensation of letdown and didn't get much engorgement. I'd just focus on the nappies and hopefully her weight gain will improve.

Full or not full feeling breasts is no indication of supply. Your baby is now gaining weight, has plenty of wet and dirty nappies and generally seems to be thriving. Sounds like your supply is a-ok! It's actually quite rare to have low supply. Keep feeding on demand and getting plenty of skin to skin - it's not just for the first few days!
