4 week old bringing formula feeds back up

My 4 week old baby has eight 90 ml feeds a day: four are expressed breast milk and four are formula.

After the formula feeds he is sick, but this doesn’t happen with breast milk. I’m wondering if it could be an intolerance to dairy? He has the cow and gate pre prepared milk.

It's more likely reflux. How much comes up? Does it dribble put of his mouth or is it forceful?

Do you have dairy in your diet? If so, if he had an issue with cows milk, it would also be in your milk.

Speak to your gp and they will be able to discuss what's best. My boy had the same at the start, but he eventide started being sick on breast milk as well. He's got really bad reflux and I eventide out him on an antireflux formula which sorted him out after 2 weeks. Although since hitting 3 months his reflux has gotten worse Sad

Very little dairy. He is never sick after a breast feed, that’s why I’m wondering if it’s something in the formula.

I just worry he’ll get hungry if he’s bringing some of his milk back up. I hold him upright after his milk.
