5 week old - formula milk intake

Hello!

I know the rough formula of giving 150/200ml of formula per kilo of the baby's weight but our baby doesn't seem satisfied ... so just for my sanity , how much did your babies have at 5 weeks?

I hope you're not limiting formula for your baby. You're supposed to feed to appetite not by what's written on the box/tub

And if they are draining all their bottles increase the size of their feed

If baby is drawing the bottle, I'd start making the bottles a bit bigger, maybe add an extra 30 ml to the next feed and see if they drain that.

Are you feeding to a schedule currently or just when they're hungry?

We made 5oz bottles at that age because 4oz often wasn’t enough, but he didn’t always drink 5oz. Don’t limit how much your baby drinks - they know when they’re full!
