How much does your baby feed per day?

Evening!

Am just wondering really. My little girl is combi fed expressed breast milk and formula, is 12 weeks, and starts her day between 8 and 9am with a minimum 10oz feed, sometimes she wants as much as 14 instead. Then she has 6oz throughout the day whenever she displays feeding cues - but again, she'll sometimes have an extra ounce or two after those bottles too if she cues it. Her last feed before bed is a biggun too - she's just packed away 16oz!!! She's totalled 43 oz today but she might wake in two hours or so for another six, otherwise she will go til morning.

What about you lot?

Jesus! My 18 week old has only ever taken 20z maximum in 24 hours!

I wish mine would do the same!

20oz, sorry

She's my first baby so all this is new to me! Isn't it lovely how different they all are. She did end up having more than the mentioned 43 oz too - she woke up again, but wasn't wide awake for a bottle, so had ten minutes on a boob instead 🤯

Wow! It was a struggle getting 15oz into my DD at that age Grin

Even at 5 months before weaning she would sometimes take 30oz in 24 hours, but 43oz is impressive!

If she's combi fed I'd tak to a BFC on one of the helplines to see how much she should be having.

I'd weigh her before calling though as ff babies need 2.5 floz per pound in weight in 24 hours.

Combi fed babies will need less as at this age and until they start solids they only take roughly 25 floz a day.
