Help 6month old refusing feeds

My 29 week old has stopped feeding properly. She was on 210ml bottles every 3.5 - 4 hours. Rarely finished but averaging 900ml over 24hours.

She had a very slight temp on Monday & cried loads and since then is not really been feeding. I can't get more than 120ml in at a time so am feeding every 2-3 hours. It's more like 60-90ml with the odd 120ml. She's now drinking 500/600ml in 24hours.

She's been on solids for roughly 3 weeks. Started baby led but she just chews and spits out so have been offering yoghurt & fruit pots along side which she loved up until the day of temp but now is only taking a spoon or two or not at all. So shouldn't be dropping the feeds as she isn't eating enough so can't be that.

Help I don't know what to do!

Phone the GP/111, if she's got a temp she's not well so that's a likely cause for her going off her food/milk. Have you been giving her calpol? I hope baby is feeling better soon!

I agree you should phone the GP but she is possibly teething. My DD would always go off feeding when she had teeth coming through.

I gave calpol on Monday when she had the temp it went and didn't come back. I haven't rang the GP as it was nearly a week ago now but will when they open.

She's crying tears & weeing so not dehydrated.

Could be teething but she's been chewing everything & dribbling for months and no signs of teeth and nothing different to usual.

Often with teeth they move around for a while under the surface before they actually poke through. So it could be that they are moving again but you can’t see anything.
