Pumping question! For pumping/bfeeding mums

Hi all!

I'm trying to increase my evening supply around 8/9pm. I breastfeed.

I am trying to pump as I type- as I have been told pumping for 10-15 min after a feed can help increase supply.

However, nothing is coming out. I'm using a hospital grade double pump and pumping for 15 minutes.

Will regular pumping at this time even with no output still help to increase supply?

Thanks for your wisdom!

I think so. I pumped exclusively for 2 months. To increase my supply I dry-pumped for 10 minutes after each session, basically mimicking a hungry baby. It worked for me, but I think it took a while.

Also worth keeping the hormones flowing by holding your baby while you pump if you can. You don’t have to bother sterilising the kit either, just chuck any milk you get.

You could also try pumping on the finished side while baby is feeding from the second side.
