Just put my 14 month old DD to bed without a BF for the first time. She went out like a light TBH she had not been interested in BF for a couple of weeks but I feel really sad. Don t think I will be having any more kids so thats it for me. Feel quite tearful . Anyone else felt like this or just glad to be finished?

Oh Amethyst, just reading posts like this make me feel sad.

I think everyone has a different story to tell about finishing bfing. Maybe it's harder on you at the moment as it's not your choice.

It's good that your dd has made the choice herself, but it doesn't stop you feeling sad about it. Do you think this is a permanent decision by your dd?

She has not been interested for a while to be honest. From all the information on BF I looked at I sort of expected that she would carry on indefinitely and I would have to prise her off but she is quite an independent little Miss and loves her food. She had only been taking little nips for a while so I think she is done.

I really loved BF her. Never thought I would last as long as I did but now it seems to be over too quickly.
