my baby is 7 weeks old and was 7 weeks premature and was born with a cleft lip and palate. he isnt keeping his milk down, he gets gaviscon in his milk but it seems to have stoped working

yea i phoned hv she told me to phone the hospital because she didnt want to give me the wrong advice but i dont think its related to his cleft lip and palate. she is due to come out in the morning leaves me pretty stranded til then. have you heard of stay down milk?

Tasha have you seen anyone about this yet? Sounds like you really need to, esp if your little one has been vomitting lots as he might be getting dehydrated. Are his nappies wet when you change him? Can you get to your GP today? (BTW, personally I wouldn't try changing his formula until you've seen someone and got their recommendation.)

hiya i brought him to the hospital today and they have given me stuff to thicken his milk. he has only had one feed with it but so far so good. just takes very long time to feed him cause its so thick.

Good news. My son was prem too and had all sorts of tummy problems with his formula but is now an enormous bouncing 9 month old! All the best with yours. x
