Only expressing 2oz per pumping session

My little boy is 6 weeks old and I’m breastfeeding him full time but have been adding in pumping sessions twice a day for the last 2 weeks as a top up night feed. I could only express 1oz in 20min session at first but now it’s 2oz with the most being 2.5oz (in total). Am I doing something wrong? I invested in a madela pump as I thought it would help with expressing more but doesn’t seem to have made much of a difference. Is this normal or do I have a low supply?

That sounds about right to me, that's how I started my baby is 22 weeks now and I get 7 or 8oz from out first morning and before bed pump. Keep pumping at your set times and your body will continue to up supply. It may also increase as baby begins to take more milk x

How much you can pump is absolutely no indication of how much you are making. 2 floz sounds about right to me Smile
