How long between feeds - 5 weeks old

How long would you leave your baby between feeds at 5/6 weeks old? Have had conflicting advice from midwife and health visitor 🤔

For reference - First time mum, exclusively breastfeeding, chunky baby at birth, lost 6% birthweight at first weigh then was back over birthweight at next weigh. Continuing to gain weight steadily, hitting pretty much bang on 50th centile at each weigh for the last few weeks.
Midwife told us at 2 weeks old to never wake baby for a feed until it’s been 6/7 hours 😳 Seemed quite long for a small baby. We didn’t follow that. Spoke to health visitor about it last week as baby is sleeping longer now and she said at 5 weeks she wouldn’t leave them any longer than 4/5 before waking them for a feed 🤔

4 or 5 in order to maintain supply and not have a super thirsty baby but if it’s incredibly difficult to wake them up then 6 or 7 once in a while won’t do any harm.

@LouiseTrees Yeah I did think that 6/7 hours seemed far too long for such a new baby and for trying to establish a proper milk supply too! Baby has been feeding pretty religiously every 3 hours during the day and every 4 hours at night but has just started sleeping past the 4 hours sometimes.
