painful bf while pregnant

Haven't been around for ages as I have been so tired. My son has decided to start bf every hour again even though he is 9 months old. I am 5 months pregnant and seem to have breast thrush. Any ideas on how to clear it up naturally? I'm really desperate. I have always been a wuss but I am crying from the pain. It lasts until the next feed and any cream I put on burns and stings like mad. I can't cope with it anymore

hello milkybarkid. there are really good drugs you can get for thrush called fluconazole (diflucan) though you'll need to get your dr to prescribe it (& i don't know if you can take it when you're pregnant). Your son will also need to be treated with nystatin drops in his mouth. I really hope you get this sorted soon, I had thrush & it was agony. do you have an out of hours number for your GP? i'd definitely call. good luck

i dont have any advice but am really glad you are back!

any more advice on dealing witht the thrush, without using conventional stuff. I'm not into medications but am i total agony
