Well???? Also, now that I am a social outcast, is there an accepted uniform (and are lentils involved?)

So far today four people have asked when I am quitting nursing. Responses have included:

(1) That's a good question, since it's as natural as breathing, I agree to do so when you agree to quit your disgusting oxygen habit
(2) Well I'm guessing logistically it'll be difficult when she goes away to college so maybe then.
(3) Are you crazy women, look how tiny my arse is because of breastfeeding (to oversized FFing mummy)
(4) Oh I'm sorry, did you want some?

So I thought, best get the badge and uniform, save some people wasting their breath telling me how BF over one is 'a bit odd'.

I love the bracelet! I never had a problem remembering until recently (DD 13m) but now she only feeds a couple of times a day I get lost if she has an extra feed!

Plus it would wind people at work up brilliantly they all think I am wierd but I have no shame and have told all the girls I still bf (in conversation obviously - I didn't make a big announcement!). I had to go into a Coldstore at -30 and also had to tell my boss I would need to leave after a few minutes, he thought it was great and told me his wife tandem feeds a 3yr old and 18 month old! I think we have a new understanding all of a sudden!

I rarely BF in public now as DD does not demand much but this weekend we were at some friends and she was a bit tired so I offered her some milk and it perked her up until we got home. I am sure a biscuit would have done the same thing but I don't do biscuits on demand - just boob

We went through biting, and then not demanding, but she does pinch at them occasionally but only at mine and usually if we are having a cuddle. It is a phase and "it too will pass".

Hope the Party went well.

Oh please get one for work! Have you seen the nursing necklaces, have one of those...really cute. Unfortunately my dd still bit down! And now she prefers to wear it than see it on me!

love these

mamadoc · 23/10/2007 21:53

just clicked on ally's link and there IS a badge-
'Still breastfeeding still none of your business'
I don't think I qualify yet as DD only just 6 months but might treat myself when the time comes

Occasionally I've asked DS whether he can have a feed from [insert name of someone else here] and he gives me a pitying look and says "Silly Mummy". Which is a long way from clambering over people to grope random women's breasts... You see, while I don't claim that DS is in any way G&T, he is not stupid.

Rachel32 · 24/10/2007 13:22

I breast fed ds till he was 2 yrs old. Family and friends were all supportive but I was expecting pointed remarks from others and looked forward to using my ready prepared brilliant repartee. Sadly I never had the opportunity because people didn't seem to notice..

Those badges are fab! I'm off to order one, and a tshirt for little lady here.

I love that website, i've looked at it before. Been trying to decide for the last 10 months, if i need a nursing necklace!

Decided, having re-read the blurb about it, saying it destracts from the inevitable pinching etc... reckon its worth a go.. what do you think? £14 not cheap though.. has anyone used one, with a pinching, hair pulling baby, and had a result?
