Is this okay? Formula feeding advice...

I'm new to formula feeding (I breast fed my first child) so need some reassurance.

My baby is now 17 days old and is taking 3oz of formula every 90mins to an hour. Is this okay or too much. He's inconsolable with hunger so I'm just feeding him until he's satisfied. He was 8lb13oz at birth and is now 9lb4oz.

Yes I would try to stretch the feeds to 3 hourly, otherwise he may get very reflux-y. Can you offer a dummy in between to help satisfy sucking reflex?

It sounds perfectly ok to me and the last thing I'd be doing is make a 17 day old baby wait another 90 minutes for a Feed.
