Hi all,
Does anyone know which teats I can buy to apply directly onto the Aptamil 200ml ready-made bottles? I have searched the net without success - any help would be much appreciated!

I got these (at 3am after it became apparent I’d starved my baby for weeks - BF just doesn’t work...tried and failed 3 times - devastated every time 😞)

www.boots.com/aptamil-1-first-milk-starter-pack-ready-to-feed-6x70ml-10175040?cm_mmc=bmm-buk-google-ppc--baby--Aptamil-_-UK_Generic_DSA+Baby&gclid=Cj0KCQiAkuP9BRCkARIsAKGLE8Wx7FerU10PIMI_YOVSdYYm4wo8rwDvovYvyYhQqLEKTEjsBrFlWw4aAmPoEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

They come with the teats but a V expensive way to go, if you’re talking about the mini pre made formula I’m pretty sure they don’t sell presterilised teats For them although why don’t they ?! I always just poured them into pre-sterilised bottles x

WhatsErFace2020 · 21/11/2020 10:44

Actually I just googled and found these

www.stericarebaby.com/feeding/teats/sterifeed-standard-sterile-baby-teats-disposable-latex-free-pack-of-10-packed-by-stericare?gclid=Cj0KCQiAkuP9BRCkARIsAKGLE8VuYgBX09OqsUdRRoAwTDeOC67r1NcvUpNphlVU2MlBLAc0BU911l8aAtMSEALw_wcB

Wish I’d thought to look - brilliant for when your out and about in the early days!!

MdF78 · 21/11/2020 10:45

Thanks, yes I'm aware of the 70ml bottles but they are a waste of time (and plastic). There has to be a teat that fits the 200ml bottles.

Just decant the 200ml into a bottle?

ohidoliketobe · 21/11/2020 10:48

The 200ml bottle/cartons are designed to be decanted into a sterile bottle

MdF78 · 21/11/2020 10:50

Decanting into a bottle means needing to take a ton of bottles on a long haul flight. It takes up a lot of hand luggage space so teats would be a better way

Looks like they also only fit the 70ml bottles. Agree with you - why don’t they make them?! Aside from the Obvious waste Of plastic, but surely people would only use them once in a while, holidays etc.

You’ll see me on Dragons Den next month 🤣

Alarae · 21/11/2020 10:55

The Sterifeed are what was used in NICU with 70ml C&G formula, but I am 99% sure the screw tops are the same as the Aptamil 200ml bottles (which I've also used, just not with teats).

Findahouse21 · 21/11/2020 10:57

There is a company that sells teats that you can screw onto the aptamil bottles, or at least there was 6 years ago when dd was small. I can't remember the name but am going to see if I can find them and post back

Findahouse21 · 21/11/2020 11:00

We used chilli peeps which you can buy on amazon or ebay. Can also get Milton wipes to wipe them off

MdF78 · 21/11/2020 11:02

Thanks all for the replies:

  • Thanks for Stericare link, not sure of the size so might contact them to ask if it would fit
  • The 70ml teat does not fit on the 200ml bottle
  • The name of the company that used to do it is ChilliPeeps
As FYI for anyone searching the same, the thread of the Aptamil 200ml is 50mm. I suspect they have (very cleverly) made an obscure size to not cannibalise their 70ml product.

Chilli peeps are still available

Doesn't fit formula bottles unfortunately.
I suspect it will need to be a stack of 70ml bottles

I was just looking for this as I bought the Itsy product having had the chillipeeps adapter with my first baby only to find the Aptamil bottle now don’t fit the adapter. Hoping the new product comes out quickly as I found it really handy with my last baby.

Deebaa · 01/03/2021 09:01

@ItsyProductsUK

Hi all! Itsy are the new home of the old “Chillipeeps” adapter, since February 2019. This adapter is bow sold as the Itsy Guzzler and is sold £1 cheaper than before.

We are well aware of the change in size on the 200ml Cow & Gate and Aptamil bottles and will be launching a new design in early 2021.

Please note any Chillipeeps adapters found on sale will be the old design and will be a number of years old as only Itsy Products Limited now own the patent rights for this device.

Find out more on itsykids.com!

Thanks!

Team Itsy

Any news on when these might be available? I have a new born and patiently awaiting the return of these. They were heaven sent. I purchased a few of the previous version about 4 years ago but unfortunately, they are useless now as the bottles have changed.
MrsOk · 23/04/2021 04:12

Does anyone know if any existing baby bottle teats that might fit the new aptamil bottles? It does not need to be disposable. Thanks.

Sterifeed are what you get in hospital for expressing milk into. They do 200ml bottles and teats that fit.

I’m sure the teats fit the ready made formula bottles too.
