Breastfeeds at 8 months

DD is 8 months and feeds for very short times but fairly frequently (I think!). Just looking for a bit of reassurance really that she's taking enough.

She'll feed about every 3 hours for about 2-4 mins, one side only. This include overnight, plus some more feeds overnight that are smaller (we're cosleeping and they're a blur!). I'm careful not to offer solids until after milk, but she's taking loads of solids anyway.

She's always been a fast feeder, but was usually fed more frequently and often wanted a second side.

hiya,
my DS2 is 8months this months and since his first feed has never fed more than 5mins. i only feed on one side anyway and that lasts him about 4hours. it could jsut mean that you've got a quick let-down and a quick flow! if he's not fussing dont worry.

on the solids front i was told to give solids then milk!

My ds is 7 months and has lots of food. He bfeeds for a few minutes mid morning and mid afternoon. About fifteen mins before bed then once in the night and first thing again prob for about ten - fifteen mins. I have stressed and worried that he isn't getting enough milk (since starting weaning at 4 mo) but he eats well, seems healthy and doesn't have any problems. I have tried to offer less food and more milk but he just cries until I give him food. The other day I tried to sneak a sleepy bf in at lunchtime but he told me in no uncertain terms that he didn't want it by biting me! Hasn't done it since and now way too scared to try offering anything extra. I just make sure that he has dairy foods and add milk to anything I can!
