Wisdom tooth removal and breastfeeding month old

My wisdom tooth is causing me some pain, I want to go to the dentist and see what way it is growing, if it's growing into a space that is suitable then I would leave it.
However if they suggest removal I'm worried about how medication/the procedure would affect me breastfeeding my baby. Does anyone have any experience with tooth removal and breastfeeding their young baby?

Dentist here. Provided the rest of your medical history is unremarkable, a wisdom tooth extraction under local anesthetic shouldn't be a problem.

Its very unlikely to be a problem. This article may help reassure you.

Hope you get it sorted out soon.

I had a wisdom tooth removed last year when I was breastfeeding my 10 month old. I was offered sedation but opted for local anasthetic on the day. It was a really quick procedure, not too painful and I felt fine straight away to breastfeed etc. Was much easier to deal with the tooth pain

This is all very positive and good to hear. Hopefully it would just be a local and it'll all be fine.

However it turns out at the moment that my dentist is only seeing people if they have excessive swelling or bleeding, so no need to be seen!
