After 6 months - how do they get iron?

My DD2 is nearly 7 months and has been faving solids for a couple of weeks. Prior to that she was exclusively BF.

I remember reading thar BM does not have enough iron for babies 6 months or older so was wondering how to get iron into her. I was given Abidec by the HV at 3 weeks but thanks to wise MNers I realised it wasn't needed. I don't want to give it to her now as it uses peanut oil as the carrier. Anyway, i'd rather she had it in natural form.

So should I just make dure she has spinach regularly once she gets to eating proper meals or is there anything else I can do? Or does BM in fact do the job anyway so nothing extra needed?

thanmks - apologies for crap typing but am pumping at the sametime.
