Laid back breastfeeding position

Hi, I wondered if anyone had any tips on the laid back breastfeeding position.

My baby has reflux and I think my fast letdown is contributing. I know this position helps with fast letdown but I struggle with it. I've been watching you tube videos which has said to point your nipple up but she is bobbing her heard round so much I can't hold her, hold my nipple and get her on! She did get on without my holding my nipple but not sure if that was a good enough latch.

I have a fast letdown and a reflux baby too. The laid down face to face position works well for us especially overnight.
It was difficult at first to get all the logistics right but it gets easier. At first I would get her attached sat up right then slide to a lying position and role on to my side. She would come unlatched during this so I relatched when we were lying down. Sometimes I need an arm under her head to control where her head is going and adjusts the height.

We also do the laid back sat up position which is OK if she is calm and not troubled by the reflux

You need to be in bed preferably with squishy pillows. Attach baby whilst you sit up then slide down so you are pretty much lying. If they come off sit up, reattach, slide down. This position puts pressure on burps as well so if they swallow air and start fussing I generally stay still and a minute later up comes the burp!
