Hi everyone, to cut the long story short I have a breast abscess. I'm currently under the care of the breast clinic for this.
I've had the abscess aspirated with a needle twice, and antibiotics. I currently have a hole where the abscess was which was leaking pus (lovely I know) today breast milk has started to leak from the hole.
When I was last at the clinic the doctor did say this might happen, but I'm just curious how long this lasted for those who have had the same issue?
Would love to hear any experiences if possible!
Should I stop breastfeeding? I've been prescribed a tablet to take which stops the production of milk but I'm worried this could make the situation worse.
