Hello, I have got a question...is it possible that baby could be thirsty??

My son is 2 weeks old and he eats normally well, but few minutes after feeding he is looking for more.. when I offer him, he spits it out.. so I was thinking if he could be thirsty when it’s that hot outside..we are on combined feeding.

If so, what can we do? Can we give him a water? Evian for example?

Hi SusanneGalbava,

We're moving your thread over to our Infant Feeding topic as we think that's a better place for it. Hopefully some Mumsnetters will be along shortly with some advice. Flowers

Babies shouldn't be given water before they are 6 months and even then it should be boiled and cooled. Definitely not mineral water. He's probably just fussing and looking or comfort In very hot weather formula fed babies sometimes get constipated (hard rabbit pellet like poo) and then sometimes I've seen boiled cooled tap water recommended.
Have you tried contacting la ledge league - they're doing zoom calls and are fab at helping.
