Positive silent reflux stories. My son cries alllll day every day and is always in agony. Everyone keeps telling me this won't improve until his a year. His only 5 weeks I honestly don't think I can do this for a year!! I have tried changing milk to amino acid one. I've tried all medication yet can have. I've tried thickener. Nothing works. His throat is soooo hoarse all the time. Breaks my heart.

@sophie269 I completely understand what you are going through and know how heartbreaking it can be. My son is 9 weeks now and has suffered so much with silent reflux and all day screaming since he was born. Are you breastfeeding at all? What formula is he on? Does he have allergies? Are you keeping him upright after feeds? It's taken weeks but we are now on Omeprazole and have discovered he has a dairy and soy allergy so is prescribed Neocate, though I'm also breastfeeding but on a very restricted diet myself. Definitely check if he has an allergy as some formulas still contain proteins. Neocate is about the only one which is truly hypoallergenic I believe. We saw Dr Eltumi who diagnosed allergies straight away. Know that you're not alone! It's absolute torture but once you find the cause of the reflux things will ease. Keep going and ignore the people that say they will just grow out of it. There is a reason for the screaming and tears - just needs to be figured out!
