EBF 6 month old infrequent pooing

DS is 6 months old and is EBF. He has never been a frequent pooer! He goes maybe once a week, sometimes even less frequently. I spoke to the dr last week about a possible dairy allergy (I’m weaning him atm) and mentioned the infrequent bowel movements. The Dr seemed to think this was a problem and advised lots of fibre in diet and to go back again if he doesn’t get more frequent. Just wondering if anyone else had experienced this? I originally read that infrequent pooing with EBF babies was normal due to the minimal waste from breast milk.
DS is happy and seems to have no problem with his weight - hasn’t been weighed since pre Covid-19 but is in the age appropriate clothing and has chubby cheeks, rolls on legs etc:

I wouldn't worry, maybe call your HV if you are? GPs often dont have a clue about BF babies (although I have come across one or two who were brilliant, it's just luck of the draw!) If he doesn't seem to be in any discomfort it's probably fine. Starting solids will probably change it up anyway Grin
