Tommee tippee anti colic bottles

Hi all

Does anyone use the tommee tippee anti colic bottles?

I was wondering does anyone know if they can the be used as just regular bottles (without the anti colic faff)?

LO has just turned 9 months. He is weaned beautifully - eats absolutely everything I give him. On 3 meals a day now.

He also has still has 3 bottles of formula (8oz). We still use all the anti colic stuff in the bottles. I was thinking of trying him without it to see how he goes. I'm reluctant to fork out for new bottles seeing as he will be on cows milk in a few months and I'm going to try weaning him onto a sippy cup for his milk (gradually). He already uses one for water at mealtimes really well.

Has anyone ever tried the bottles without the insert bits and found they are fine? And do they leak without it? (More than normal) He brings up wind brilliantly now on his own without any assistance. As soon as he sits up he burps (really loudly.. lol) so I really don't think he needs them anymore? (Plus I won't lie selfishly they are a bloody pain and if he doesn't need them it would be great to be rid of the damn things... lol 😂)

Any thoughts on this would be great. TIA

Hi i have these bottles and tried to use them without the colic inserts and milk flew out everywhere the lids also dont fit on correct without the colic insert which i do think is silly as we wont always need them my LO is 10 weeks old so still need them but tried without whilst mixing up formula and was such a mess 😩😩

Lids dont fit without them. I found the valve would suck up milk aswell and it would pour out the lid BUT they helped, i think, so i put up with it until i could go back to normal bottles

Mind u thou I can't knock them really they got me through the awful colic days!

I got rid of all his standard tommee tippee bottles when we switched to these. Wish I'd hung onto them them now! 😒

Oh well.... at least no more formula or steriliser in a few months. Guess I'll have to put up with them until he fully accepts a sippy cup all the time. 😒 xx
