Hi all
Has anyone found babies reflux got better when switched from breastfeeding to anti reflux formula?
I have to return to work next month so really need to either mix feed or switch to formula but so worried how 15 week olds reflux will be if I do so.
Don’t want to put him on medication so any info would be appreciated! Thank you Smile

Hi

My lg has silent reflux, we have tried all sorts apart from anti reflux milk as i have heard a different mix of things.
My friend tried it with her lg and it worked great at first but then she screw for 3 days with constipation.
I've heard it a few times on here to about it constipating babas.
Not all babies though so it might work really well for yours.

There is a thickener called carobel which we want to try next as I've heard it doesn't cause constipation hardly and is more natural.

I completely understand your concerns, I'm going through it myself atm and it's heartbreaking seeing them in pain.

Try to keep your lo upright as much as possible, for at least 20 to 30 min after each feed, raising the moses basket, pram from underneath (just check with hv first), burping in between as well as after feeds, if you're going to go just ff then try dr browns bottles or they sell anti reflux bottles too online (bit pricey though).

It's all trial and error really to see what works for your baby, but if you do decide to go for the anti reflux milk and your lo has a bad reaction just take her off it asap.
It might work really well Smile
(ps- my lo already has issues with her dig so we are hesitant to put her on reflux milk as it's quite thick)
