So the amount of breast milk you produce during the day is regulated by how much baby sucks during a period at night, I've seen and heard this multiple times. But what happens when baby starts sleeping more at night, does that decrease your day supply too?
My situation is: baby is 10 weeks old and still feeds (bf) every 2 hours, day and night. I can't sustain this nightly routine for much longer. We've tried a big bottle of expresses breast milk during the evening but that didn't help so my next plan is to top up with formula after night feeds. But if this works better then he won't be waking as much in the night, so will this reduce how much I'm producing during the day?
