Follow on milk

Hi my little one was being mixed fed via bottle until 6 months. I have now stopped expressing and now solely formula feeding. He is now 8 months old. He has still been on first milk since weaning and I know there is no need to move onto follow on milk (marketing thing etc) but is there any reason not to move to stage 2 as i often see it on offer/ it works out slightly cheaper? I tried to google but the only info seems to tell me it isn’t necessary to move on but that doesn’t really answer my question.

There’s not any nutritional reason to use it but we did purely because it worked out a bit cheaper, especially now stage 1 has increased in price.

We are now weaning onto cows milk but we’ve had no issues with stage 2 and she’s healthy as can be! Ultimately it’s up to you, we just did it to save a few pennies!

Thanks. Yes it will save be about a pound a box- not a huge saving but also can get points on it as well. Small things adding up if that makes sense. I know there is no advantage or need for it but I don’t want to switch if it is a worse option if that makes sense.
