I was out shopping in town with DP DD aged 12 and my

9 week old DS. We went to Starbucks for a

pitstop and to feed DS. As we looked around

for a table I noticed that there were two

other women in there (on different tables!)

breastfeeding their babies.

I felt really proud and happy to sit there

and join them and it was just so lovely that

it has made me smile all day.

Yes that islovely.
Did you all excahnge proud smiles?

lljkk · 30/09/2007 19:23

I was at a Mother+Toddler group a few days ago and there was a woman nursing a 19 month old. Almost everybody I've seen there has bottlefed even the tiniest babies, it was wonderfuly refreshing to see somebody doing something that should be considered 'normal' but is still treated like something to be embarassed about.

Yes we all smiled Moondog. I wish it would happen more often.

That deserves a gold star..

wildpatch · 01/10/2007 00:02

starbucks i particularly nice because of thecomfy sofas they have.

cmotdibbler · 01/10/2007 08:45

Where I used to live the Starbucks staff would move other people off the sofas to let you feed there rather than the wooden chairs.
I love seeing other people feeding when I'm out, although DS seems to think they might have something to offer him too, which is tricky.

Aw how lovely. I used to love giving that smile to other BF mums
