Can the combined pill mess up milk supply?

I'm breastfeeding a 21 month old. I've recently started taking the pill. My milk supply seems to have fallen through the floor. I've stopped taking it. Has anyone else experienced this before?

Yes it can in some women. Better to use an alternative form of contraception if it does e.g. mini pill, coil, injection, etc

@dementedpixie I was meant to be getting the coil fitted but went on the pill temporarily as it was cancelled due to covid.

maybe try the mini pill instead? It's less likely to affect milk supply

I'm on a waiting list for a coil and on the mini pill, no issues with supply for me. X

Yes - the oestrogen in the combined pill can dramatically lower supply. Progesterone only pill is often recommended.
