Fussy baby

Hi guys, really hoping some is going through the same. My baby is almost 4 months and weighs 14ibs. Has started getting really fussy with her bottles sometimes only taking an ounce. Some bottles we have to sing to her for her to take some but cries throughout. She is on a number 3 teat as advised by my HV because she wouldn't take milk out of number 1s or 2s would just scream and refuse or take over an hour and half to drink. We thought she had reflux when she was on the lower teats and tried her with anti reflux milk but she got frustrated with it because it was too thick and refused milk. My Dr won't prescribe gaviscon. But I'm not 100% sure it is reflux she does sick up at least 5 times a day does this sound like reflux or should I get ready to wean if she doesn't want her milk? Any advice much appreciated

Don’t wean into food until at least 6 months. How well burped is she? That’s a lot of sicky. My DD did have a phase like this but it only lasted a short time, say a week,at around the 3 months stage.

I've been advised to start weaning on baby rice by a few professionals but just a couple of mouthfuls a day which I think she's ready for and burps like a man 😂 farts like a man 😂

Milk is a baby’s main source of nutrition for the first year. Baby rice doesn’t have much nutritional value & may fill her up so she refuses milk even more? I’m not an expert though but that would be my opinion. Or was their suggestion based on the fact that it may improve the reflux?

Hi I finally managed to get hold of my HV this morning she agrees it's reflux and has said developmentally my child seems able to wean but to get some gaviscon let that start working then give a few mouthfuls of something non gluten and it might help with her being hungry but not wanting the milk she said both together may help it's a nightmare trying to figure out what the right thing to do is. I don't want to wean her to soon but if that's what she's ready for and needs but then with reflux can you tell I'm a first time mum 😂😂
