omneo comfort milk

I wonder if you could give me opinions on this milk. We are currently using Hipp Organic with our 6 month old, but unfortunately, despite huge amounts of gaviscon, he is sick almost constantly. It is not acid reflux (so I have been told other medication won't help), but that the valve at the top doesn't close sufficiently and I've been told this should gradually improve over the next 2 years. Anyway, wondered what you thought of Cow & Gate Omneo Comfort milk and whether this had helped any of your babies with their sick problems. Thanks.

Omneo comfort was a godsend when my dd had colic. She was on SMA gold and was obviously suffering a lot with her stomach. My hv recommended Omneo and being desperate I gave it a go. She was instantly better. The only drawback is it gives them very smelly wind and interesting nappies but that's nothing if they're happy. As I said, dd had colic but no sickness so I don't know how it would work with sick problems I'm afraid. Good luck x

Omneo doesn't market itself specifically for vomitting, so if even the manufacturers don't claim much for it in this department, can't see why it would help, Ellaroo.

I have to admit to being sceptical about these new speciality formulas - they have not been tried and tested through millions of babies like regular formula, and the smelly wind and peculiar nappies aren't really very reassuring. Omneo itself is made from potato starch and its main ingredient is glucose syrup, so I would worry about teeth in a baby of six months.....maybe contact the manufacturer's helpline and ask what they say?

Another fan of Omnio here. We tried Ds on several milks before we were told to try Omnio and it was great. Ds wasn't a sicky baby but very colicy and he improved so much on it.
