Hi...hope you can help...am posting this message on a behalf of a friend of mine who lives in Newcastle..she gave birth to a lovely baby girl last week and is now breast feeding happily., however baby has not yet got back up to birth weight and is a little jaundiced still. I live down south and we had a weekly drop in centre with the health visitor to get baby weighed and chat about any worries but my friend doesnt seem to have this in Newcastle. Is there support available locally / do you know the set up there or should she just call her GP ( as I have advised) Tks in advance for help

there is a Babycafe in Newcastle and the the NCT has a few branches in the area. she can also call their helpline on the front page.
