Virtual breastfeeding support

Has anyone had any luck with virtual breast feeding support that places are putting on these days?
I'm struggling with my new babies latch and need some help but don't know how useful someone over a video call will be. I've done enough reading up and looking at YouTube and don't need someone just repeating all that to me.
What I need is someone next to me, moving baby, moving me ect but that's not an option.

Sorry, I'm in the same position - desperate to find support but it's so hard to come by. The only people who would see me in person are the infant feeding team from my local hospital - is that an option?

Hi Edin!

My sister also experienced the same trouble with her baby and used a lady who is a maternity nurse, you can try sending her an email - [email protected]

Hi, will your health visitor not come out? Ours is still coming with full PPE and looked at my latch. Before this, we actually had an independent lactation consultant come out to check for tongue tie as I was having real problems getting our baby to latch on. We had arranged for her to see us in our garden but it was raining so she came to the house. Again, all PPE'd up. I decided this because I knew a zoom session wasn't going to help and I needed someone there physically. So you could try both those options.

Only thing I will say is the LC only stayed 20 mins which was a bit rubbish. She cited Covid as reason for shorter visit but she was also a bit rubbish (although she did diagnose tongue tie which is what we needed to know!) So maybe just check how long they'll stay if you do decide to get one out x

My health visitor is coming out next week so she's mu back up plan. I had a virtual consultation with someone from nct. It was kind of what i expected, she was only able to tell me things that, in theory, I already knew which was a bit annoying. But she did say she can't see any issues which gave me confidence at first but now I'm back to wondering why it's sore if I'm doing it right.
I'm just going to persevere for the next couple of dats till I see my health visitor.
