Switching from nutramigen at 1 year

Hello.. just me pulling my hair out.

Ds1 was diagnosed as cmpa/cmpi fairly young and has settle on nutramigen for more than 10 months, he’s now 14months old and they’ve pulled his prescription without warning me. I’d told the dietician when we started his milk ladder he still took 2 bottles at night and so far he won’t drink soy, coconut, oat or almond from a bottle/cup and he won’t entertain soy formula.

I’ve got half a tub left at my wits end as I’m still trying to chase them for ideas or a little longer, he’s on step 3 of the ladder and we’ve had to stop there as he broke out trying to move up. It’s his comfort at night and the only thing that settles him.

I point blank refuse to try cio, he’s a baby he doesn’t need to be distressed and left alone and he’ll wake his younger brother.

I don’t know what I’m meant to try next, I don’t know if comfort milk would even be an option and then we can take our time reducing what he has until he’s weaned off it/over to cows milk.

Any suggestions before we’re completely out.

That's bad. I thought they were supposed to stay on dairy free formula until age 2

Apparently not, the dieticians given us one more tiny tub to do us as we wean him off both. So he’s to get 2oz of water if he wakes at night and to whack 2oz off his 6oz at night every week until he has none. Dads going to have fun, considering seeing if I can up my milk for the youngest, also dairy free but ebf now, and pump him something until he takes something else.. no saying he’d take that either though little fuss pot Grin
