My lo is 4 weeks tomorrow.
She has become very unsettled at the breast, will go on for a few sucks and then comes of crying or will be on and then wimper and cry again. This goes on until she falls asleep (if tired enough and I then worry she hasn’t had what she needs) or I give bottle. Bottle isn’t a miracle cure as she can still be writhing around and going red in face.
In first week I had cracked bleeding nipples and from almost 2 weeks ago I noticed itching and burning of nipples/ some shooting pains so I spoke to gp who agreed sounded like thrush- I have been treating us both since last wed and there doesn’t seem to be much improvement?
I’m not sure this is the cause for lo fussiness or not, we have appt at tongue tie clinic tomorrow and I also suspect reflux/ wind.
Just wondering if anyone has had experience of thrush with lo? She has a bit of a white tongue but could be milk, and one or 2 white spots - v hard when can’t get face to face to confirm.
So confused and at wits end trying to figure out why she is so unsettled all of the time.
