Bottle Confusion!

Morning ladies!

I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant with my first and am starting to get a few things together and I have a query about bottles (sorry in advance if this is a stupid question).

I really want to breastfeed. But I'm unsure of what bottles I would need to buy just in case this plan doesn't work out. If I bought some Tommee Tippee bottles for example, would they be suitable for expressed milk and also formula if I needed them to?

Thank you in advance for any help for this very confused and overwhelmed FTM!

Yes those bottles would be suitable for both but I would think twice about buying them if you want to BF.

All the evidence shows that you are much more likely to give up BFing if you have bottles and formula in the house. I would wait before you buy them. If you do decide to express or use formula, you can get them at the time.

If you want to be prepared, I'd put the BFing Helpline Numbers in your phone, find out where the local BFing Support Groups are and go to them as soon as they reopen and you can get there.

I'd also have a read of Information is your Ally. Kellymom is a great resource for BFing Mums.

And have a look on YouTube too a tDr Jack Newman's videos. These will show you what a good latch looks like Smile
