...the baby that is, not me - well, not all the time.
my little girl (nearly 8 weeks) cluster feeds in the evening, but in the last few weeks, at this time, when feeding, she acts really frustrated. She pulls at my nipple quite vigorously,(have to hold her head to ensure the nipple doesn't go with her when she pulls off), and she often starts crying when on the breast - is there no milk? although is when i squeeze the nipple. My nipples end up really sore (especially when i go from one breast to another over a 2 or 3 hour period) as it just feels like she's chewing on them and i wonder if this is all due to low milk supply in the evening and how to try and improve the situation.

any similar experiences/advice??

My ds2 did this at a similar age and I finally worked out that he was tired and was trying to suck himself to sleep but was getting very frustrated when milk came out because he didn't want it. Once I figured that out (and got him used to a dummy, he was a really sucky baby and wouldn't fall asleep without sucking something!) the cluster feeding wound right down within a week or so.

It may be something similar?
