No eye contact during bottle feeding

My LO is 5 months old now and has never made eye contact with me when bottle feeding (which he's been since 2 weeks old).

He is smiley otherwise.

Should I be concerned??

How is his hearing?

I meant to say are you speaking to him during bottle feeding and is he “ignoring” your voice?

He completely ignores us during feeding. He also doesn't like to be held in the lying down/feeding position generally. Think his hearing is okay otherwise - he notices when hoover or white noise comes on for example.

We have little conversations and great eye contact when not feeding 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you don’t have concerns about his eyesight or hearing, it sounds like he’s busy with the job of feeding. Take a video and check it out with a sensible relative, or health visitor.
