Weaning schedule

My DD is now 6 months and we have started weaning. Can I have some help with where the three meals should eventually fit in? I've read so many things saying before milk, an hour after milk, two hours after milk etc and it's getting confusing. She has a nap every two hours for half hour.

Her current schedule is roughly:

7.30 - Wake and milk feed
9.30-10.00 - Nap
11.30 - Milk feed
12.00-12.30 - Nap
2.30-3.00 - Nap
3.30 - Milk feed
5.00-5.30 - Nap
7.30 - Milk feed and down for the night

At the moment I'm just doing it as and when. I'm thinking 8.30, 1 and 6 for the future but I'm not too sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

At the moment it only needs to be once a day really. I'd try offering something around 4pm.

Don't get too bothered about timings just yet, don't forget that as they get older, they start to drop some of the naps too. Although it can feel a bit like all you do is feed them for a while Smile

And for now it's best to give solids roughly an hour after a milk feed Smile

Have you found the Weaning Section on MN yet too?

I just looked and found it. Apologies! I had come across infant feeding before and had a quick nose but it makes sense why I didn't find anything before.

Thank you for your message. I guess things may change and then the advice would be redundant. I'll just carry on giving a little bit each day and increase as we go on. Thanks again!
