11mo and milk?

I'm planning ahead to returning to work and just wondering what to do about milk. This is my second child but my first only started childcare when he was 14mo so it was a bit different as he was totally weaned onto solids by that point.

I currently have a 6mo breastfed baby and when I return to work he will be 11mo. Obviously we are starting solids now and hopefully by then he will be eating fairly well. My worry is over milk - I am not very good at expressing so should I provide formula when he starts childcare? I'll be dropping him off at 7.30am and picking up at 4pm, roughly 3 days a week (PT hours still being confirmed). And if I should provide formula, do I need to start introducing that now so he is used to it? Or could he have cow's milk at 11mo? And he's never been bottle fed so I assume I can go straight to a cup for this? Or do I not need to worry about milk at all and he can just eat solids and drink water while he's there and I can breastfeed at home?

Thanks!

He may not need milk during the day at childcare if you bf before you drop him off and then bf after work, in the evening, etc. He could just eat food and drink water although he could also had small amounts of cows milk too if you were still planning on bf the rest of the time.

I agree with poster above, I wouldn't bother with formula at all.

Was he born at term? If so I would switch to cows
milk during day and just BF morning/evening if he needs it. Guidance is cows milk as main drink from 1 but a baby could be born at 37 weeks or 42 weeks and be given same guidance. A month early won’t hurt

Ok fab! He was born at 39+3 so should be fine with cow's milk (which is what I was hoping!). I'm happy to breastfeed around work and would be glad not to have to worry about formula; I just wasn't sure if he'd need it at 11mo. Thank you all!
