4 1/2 month old feeding often and suddenly posseting a lot?

Any experiences similar to reassure me this is not something to worry a out?

Dd2 is 19 weeks old (was 2 weeks early) and deep in the 4-month sleep regression. She is my first experience breast-feeding, as dd1 was bottlefed after serious PPHs. Friends tell me she should be feeding in shorter, less frequent feeds now but tbh it still feels a bit like having a newborn - she naps 4x a day, and needs a lengthy feed both when she wakes up and when she’s feeling sleepy. This means i spend most of my time saying to my 4yo “not now, wait till the baby’s finished feeding.”

This last week she has been possetting a lot too - not right after feeds, but randomly throughout the day. Doesn’t seem distressed by it, but is a lot more than she ever has before. Does any of this sound normal? (Fwiw, she has always been 75th centile and from what i can tell with lockdown home scales, still is).

Every baby is different. I wouldn't listen to other people's opinions. My son is 5 months next week and still feeds like a newborn at times. Sometimes every hour. Before he naps and when he wakes up. He still wakes a lot at night... but he's meeting all his milestones, is gaining weight well and is generally happy (minus this current regression madness ugh!). There were days he would go 3 hours between feeds and there's days he barely goes an hour.

If she's vomiting a lot, perhaps she's over feeding? My son did this at around 14 weeks. He would drink every hour and also vomit every hour. It was mainly comfort and he really jumped the percentiles into those two weeks (20th to 37th)

You’ve both made me feel better!
My little boy is 13 weeks and often still feeds like a newborn - every hour to 90 minutes. Often overeats until he spits up. But definitely happy and healthy otherwise. He still wakes us every hour or two so he can eat at night 😩he’s very consistent. Good to hear we’re not alone.
