11 months in, one nipple suddenly painful

Hello, I’ve been breastfeeding for 11 months. My baby now just has a morning and night feed.
My right nipple has been v painful when I put him on right at the start (just like in the early days) and it lasts 30 seconds or so. I wince with pain.

Then when he’s finished my left breast feels like it is burning for an hour or so. I have shooting pains.

I went to the GP about 3 weeks ago about this and she examined me and also checked myself and the baby out for thrush. She didn’t know what it was but didn’t think it was anything serious so we left it.

Any ideas or similar stories to share ? Thanks

Does your nipple go a bit white? I had the exact same thing and after two doctors appointments they realised it was thrush! So painful and like you, just in one boob, baby showed no signs xx

Yes just a teeny tiny bit white at the end. Hardly noticeable. Maybe it is thrush after all.
Did the antibiotics clear it up and did you have to give to the baby as well ?
The baby is already on antibiotics for something else so loathe to start another course 🤦🏼‍♀️.
I will google and see if it might just go away if it is thrush or if I definitely would need antibiotics. Thanks for the reply!

hi,

we have a 6 month old girl and it's time to change to powdered milk .

we have tried a couple of types but at the moment the only one which she may drink is goats milk dg-1 from new zealand because it's a bit sweeter but she still doesn't really like it . Please Suggest me some better formula for her.

kind regards
